DOUBLECLICK AND DIGITAL ENVOY PARTNER TO OFFER ADVANCED GEO-TARGETING SOLUTIONS
New York, March 22, 2003 - DoubleClick Inc. (Nasdaq:
DCLK), the leading provider of marketing tools for advertisers,
direct marketers and web publishers, today announced a partnership
with Digital Envoy, provider of NetAcuity®, the leading IP Intelligence
solution that allows localized content to be served to Web site
users for targeted branding and acquisition campaigns.
As part of the agreement, Digital Envoy will supply DoubleClick's industry leading ad serving products - DART® for Publishers, DART® for Advertisers, and DART® Enterprise - with its IP based geo-targeting data, allowing DoubleClick to provide its clients with even more advanced geographical targeting capabilities in their online campaigns.
"By partnering with Digital Envoy, the geo-targeting capabilities and reporting we already provide to our customers will be enhanced on a worldwide basis," said Doug Knopper, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Advertiser & Publisher Solutions. "DoubleClick customers already using our existing geo-targeting functionality will have a seamless experience as a result of the partnership, and will benefit from NetAcuity's improved accuracy and increased geographical coverage."
Digital Envoy is able to target anonymous users based on continent, country, state, county, city or township, postal code, area code, ISP, domain and time zone. In the second half of the year, DoubleClick will further expand the functionality of its ad serving products with the addition of both bandwidth-targeting and DMA-targeting.
Paul Conley, Director of Online Advertising, AmericanGreetings.com said, "Advertisers are increasingly looking to target users by their location and AmericanGreetings.com is committed to helping them achieve this objective. DoubleClick's geo-targeting technology has always been an effective and powerful tool, and this new partnership will only further increase its accuracy."
"We're delighted that DoubleClick selected Digital Envoy's IP Intelligence solution to benefit its clients' local online campaigns," said Rob Friedman, Executive Vice President, Corporate Development, Digital Envoy. "By integrating NetAcuity data with the DART ad serving tools, DoubleClick is making a strong commitment to interactive publishers and marketers who are seeking the most accurate, advanced technology available on the market to reach end-users in specific geographic areas."
